Maher Gabra hosts the distinguished journalist Rawan Damen. They discuss her successful journey in the media in general and in investigative journalism in specific. In the episode, she talks about the challenges of creating digital Arabic content and the skills of digital storytelling, as well as other matters of interest to anyone working in the media field, such as fake news and checking the accuracy of information.
Rawan Damen is the General Director of ARIJ, or Arab Reporters for Investigative Journalism. Distinguished journalist, filmmaker and media consultant. She studied Sociology and Media at Birzeit University; then she gained her MA in Media from the University of Leeds, UK. She worked in many Arab channels. She is the author of 3 books. She produced and directed many distinguished documentaries such as the series “The Nakba” and “The Bitter Peace”.
